M-O-U-S-E, yes we are singing the theme song to the Mickey Mouse club. Why you may ask? One of our clients who completed our Baby Plan and is now in our Watch me Grow plan is a huge Mickey fan. So when we did her son's two year old pictures we just had to do a Mickey theme. The two year old was so brave wearing his "ears" and let us get some great shots.

What a double blessing it is to have twins! Photographing this brother and sister was a real treat. They are so precious and their parents are a delight to work with.

When you think of a winter wedding you think freezing cold temp's,

staying inside and not the best of times. This past weekend it was anything but that for the Green/Shatzer Wedding. The weather was wonderful (in the 60's), we got to take pictures outside and have a great celebration. It was a joy to see such a true love story in such a young couple who are so in love and devoted to one another. We wish them the best as the start their new life together and thankful for your service to our country

You never know what is going to happen when you take a high school senior outdoors for a photography session. An unforeseen circumstance happened upon us as we took Matt down to the river. It was a beautiful day, many people enjoying the outdoors. During our take on the rocks, well we had some show offs in the water and you can see for yourself what took place thankfully Matt was a good sport about it and nothing happened when we moved inside but awesome pictures!!

There were a lot of reasons to be happy about this past weekend:
1. The rain waited to come down on Glory and Matt's outdoor wedding
at Gary Melcher's Studio at Belmont
2. The smiles were endless from everyone to the bride.

4. Families traveled from all over to attend this event
5. No damage was done from jumping on soft grass, popping corks and cake in the face

This past weekend was a whirlwind, literally. I know it has been said that rain on your wedding day is good luck. If that is the case then Lindsey and Matt have tons of luck! While some of the state had tornado warnings, we were having a blast photographing this wonderful couple's special day (in-between burst of rain)! The first time we met them was in 2006 when they had portraits taken for the family (pictured below). It has been an honor to be a part of the pre-engagement, engagement and wedding day! You guys are awesome (Go Blue Devils)!

As any photographer knows, it is fun to try something new or just happen to stumble upon something unique. Recently we were able to do just that with these two sessions. One was using a city landmark as the background the other was finding a random cement mixer and mixing it into one awesome portrait.

A Mothers Love

On this day as we celebrate Love, there is nothing like a mothers love for her newborn (especially when they are the first). This little guy wanted to stay close to his momma but thankfully he had a few moments where it took him a while to realize she wasn't holding him. This first time mother was sweet, calm and very nurturing to her new bundle of joy.

When we did Megan's outdoor session she asked if she could take a picture with friends! Of course we said, little did we know there was history. We were told that when this group of friends were around 6th grade they took pictures together. Now that most are seniors (one at college & one a class younger), they wanted to reenact the same group photos. We were more than willing to do this for them and we hope they will remain lifelong friends.

We are fortunate enough to add to our 2011 Senior models these three lovely ladies. Each model brought their own style to our studio and we enjoyed photographing them. Sofie brought her fun attitude to the shoot which allowed us to capture a lot of her personality. Blaire brought her A-Game from the field to the studio and was a pro at following directions. For Megan's shoot we ventured down to the river and she didn't hesitate for a second when we asked her to get wet.
